DCAD is committed to helping students pay for the cost of their education. The college also recognizes the complexity of applying for financial aid, as well as the need to finance a quality education. The Financial Aid Office will assist students in applying for all financial aid.
78% of all DCAD students receive some form of financial aid.
Eligibility for Financial Aid
Each aid applicant must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine the amount of student financial aid he/she may receive. The need-analysis formula and procedures are governed by laws passed by the United States Congress and regulations established by the United States Department of Education.
Other Aid
Students should contact local civic and other organizations about the availability of private scholarships. The Financial Aid Office will work with government agencies such as Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Veterans Administration for students who seek that funding.
The following grants, scholarships, and loans are available to students if they qualify:
Federal Pell Grant
State Grants
