DCAD's Certificate Programs offer a challenging and informative course of study, emphasizing the principles of design theory while teaching practical skills. Organized to meet the needs of the working professional, flexible evening and weekend scheduling allows candidates to actively pursue a certificate while working full time; certificates can be completed in as little as three semesters. This is your chance to develop your talents in an affordable, convenient and comfortable environment.
The Computer Graphics Certificates furnish students with the technological and conceptual skills to compete in the ever-changing digital marketplace. The Interior Design Certificate introduces students to the exciting field of decorative arts, combining aesthetic, intellectual and technical elements and preparing students for rewarding careers.
Who may enroll
Courses are open to students with a high school diploma or its equivalent. A background in art and design is helpful but not necessary. Students not interested in obtaining a certificate may take
certificate courses when meeting the necessary prerequisites.
How to enroll
You must complete the enclosed application and return it, with proof of high school graduation or its equivalent and the $45 certificate fee, to the Office of Continuing Education at the Delaware College of Art and Design. All applications are subject to approval by the Certificate Coordinator.

International Students
DCAD has the ability to grant M-1 visas to qualified international students applying for admission to a certificate program. Contact the Office of Continuing Education for more information.
Completion of coursework
To receive a certificate you must receive a grade of pass (or a C or better) in all required and elective courses, maintain 80% attendance and meet the portfolio requirements of the program. This will consist of at least one portfolio review with the Certificate Coordinator. Courses taken prior to application may be applied towards a certificate within a one-year grace period. Upon completion of program requirements, students must submit a written request for the certificate to the Office of Continuing Education, 600 North Market St.,Wilmington DE , 19801.
