New Admissions Counselor begins

Brad LaMereThe Delaware College of Art and Design is pleased to announce Bradley LaMere is DCAD’s new Admissions Counselor. He began at DCAD June 25, 2012.

An interdisciplinary artist who exhibits nationally and internationally, Mr. LaMere previously worked in the Admissions Office at Syracuse University. A dedicated arts educator, he has taught all levels of observational drawing and design and has experience teaching painting and color theory. Prior to arriving at DCAD, he was a drawing instructor within the Department of Foundations at Syracuse University. Also, as a graduate student, he was actively involved in the Undergraduate Fine Arts Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

"I am very happy and proud to be a part of DCAD," he said. "I believe strongly in its mission of providing students with the opportunity to engage in a healthy and productive art environment while also providing them with a strong foundation in art and design."

In 2008, he graduated as a Chancellors Scholar with his BFA from Syracuse University. He then went on to receive his MFA in 2011 from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. LaMere has travelled extensively and has been the recipient of a number of fellowships and awards. Most recently, in 2010, while a student at Penn, he was awarded a fellowship to study abroad at the Frank Mohr Instituut in Groningen, The Netherlands.

In January 2012, Mr. LaMere was the featured artist in Saatchi Magazine.

He now resides in Wilmington.
