Did you know that DCAD graduates have lifetime access to our Edgar A. Thronson Library here on campus? A lifetime membership (for just a $50 fee) entitles you checkout privileges to our more than 14,000 arts-related items—and the collection is growing every year. In addition to the library’s print holding the College also subscribes to electronic resources including an art and design scholarly encyclopedia, contemporary article databases and a database of high quality images.
DCAD in Europe
Have you ever wanted to experience new cultures and view masterworks of art in person? Now is your chance! DCAD is currently organizing a group educational tour to Europe in June 2015, and DCAD alumni—including their spouses and family members—are eligible to be a part of it at this group rate. Sign up is happening now and monthly payment plans help make it more affordable. The trip includes stops at Rome’s Colosseum, Pantheon, and the Sistine Chapel; Florence’s Accademia and Uffizi Galleries to see Michelangelo’s David sculpture and Boticelli’s Birth of Venus painting; and Paris highlights such as Notre Dame Cathedral and a guided tour of the Louvre. Contact DCAD faculty member Nicole Stamm for additional info. ENROLL NOW!
