DCAD’s Annual Scholarship Fundraiser returns in 2014!
Join us on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 11AM-2PM for a champagne brunch here at 600 N. Market Street. A ticket to the College’s Scholarship Fundraiser supports the need- and merit-based financial aid that DCAD distributes to deserving students every year—more than 97% of whom need financial aid in order to attend college. Last year alone DCAD awarded close to $1 million in scholarship aid to our students, which allowed them to pursue an education in the fine arts.
This year the Fundraiser will give you a chance to ‘Make Your Mark at DCAD,’ with demonstrations from our departments, a sale of impressive student artwork, an auction of generously donated items, and the opportunity to contribute to a community painting. Enjoy the College’s latest expansion project—the renovation of our second floor—while you dine with artists and friends.
If you’ve ever wanted a peek at what DCAD has to offer—while supporting our students at the same time—this is your chance.
For more information or to request an invitation, contact Director of Development Sara Ganter at email@example.com or 302.622.8000 ext. 107.

Though DCAD has been making an impact on education, the arts, and downtown Wilmington for seventeen years now, the growing College still runs on a tight annual budget. The funds that DCAD’s Office of Development raise each year are critical to what we are able to offer to our students and the wider community. If you believe in DCAD’s mission of arts education and downtown revitalization, please consider supporting our work with a donation.
You can support DCAD in many ways: attend an exhibition opening and bring friends, buy a ticket to the spring gala, take a Continuing Education class, join a committee, support one of our student scholarships, or donate to the Annual Appeal. The DCAD community is growing and we want you to be part of this amazing institution, which remains the only professional school of art and design in the State of Delaware.

The Office of Development is available at 302.622.8867 ext. 107.
Bequests & Planned Giving
Reviewing your estate planning needs now can mean leaving a lasting legacy to DCAD in the future. The Office of Development is available to discuss with you the possibilities of bequests through your will, charitable annuities and charitable remainder trusts, as well as the option of simply designating DCAD as the beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance policy.
Many employers encourage charitable giving by offering to match your gift to a nonprofit such as DCAD. This match can double or even triple the amount of your donation. Your company’s matching eligibility can often be determined by contacting your personnel office, or contact DCAD’s Office of Development for assistance.
DCAD’s Annual Appeal
Now in its twelfth year, the Annual Appeal is DCAD’s largest source of unrestricted funds. By contributing to this fund, your support maintains student scholarship opportunities, our Artist Lecture Series, the presentation of exhibitions in our galleries, and the maintenance of our downtown buildings.
DCAD’s Scholarship Fund
The College raises funds annually for the nearly $1 million that it returns to students in the form of merit-based scholarships and need-based grants, 97 % of whom would not be able to attend college without financial aid. With the costs of higher education on the rise, it is more important than ever that DCAD's scholarship offerings remain attractive to prospective students and available to students who, without scholarship funding, might not otherwise be able to attend DCAD.
Stuart B. Young Scholarship Fund
In honor of Stuart B. Young, Esq., DCAD Chairman of the Board of Directors (2002-2010) and founding Chairman of the Board of Overseers (2000-2010), a scholarship has been established. As of Aug. 31, 2010, he retired and is now the Chairman Emeritus.
Monika Metrinko Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in memory of Monika Metrinko, herself an artist and Pratt alumnae, to enable Pratt-bound DCAD graduates the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program in Venice.
