animation students collaborate with stitch house on commercial

Second-year Delaware College of Art and Design animation students recently collaborated with Stitch House Brewery, a restaurant located down Market Street from DCAD, on a motion media project that blended 2D animation with live-action footage to complete a commercial. Under the direction of animation area coordinator Tad Sare, student artists Jaymen Tucker and Angel Hall worked with classmates both on-site and in the DCAD studios to create the 49-second advertisement. Fellow students Nicole Avallone, Lexi Peabody and Matthew Terry can even be seen toasting in the piece.¬†This isn’t the first time that Sare’s classes have partnered with a business to create real-world work. In 2018, for example, his second-years animated old-time advertising jingles in cooperation with Ethan Uslan of The Carolina Shout Podcast.¬†
